Edited by
Dick Rainsbury
and Siobhan Laws

SECOND EDITION

This latest edition is illustrated in full colour and takes a thorough look at all the surgical and non-surgical options now available to breast cancer patients, covering everything you need to know to help you make your choice. It considers both the emotional impact of breast surgery and the potential complications and risks involved in the different approaches to breast reconstruction.

Fully updated to include the newest developments in breast reconstruction, this practical guide combines the expert knowledge of a range of specialist authors with the experiences of more than sixty women who have lived through breast cancer. It includes numerous direct quotes from patients who have taken various breast reconstruction routes, sharing their thoughts and insights, before finally culminating in an entirely new chapter containing a starkly intimate, personal account from an oncoplastic breast surgeon’s own breast cancer journey.

Accompanied by a website (breastreconstruction.uk) with additional resources, videos and further useful websites, this compendium is an essential companion for women facing breast reconstruction and will support you in your decision making at this difficult time.
